Inspired by our urban design and master plan study for a new high-rise residential community at Porto Maravilha, this is the original design for the mixed-use residential development at Avenida Venezuela adjacent to Moinho Fluminense. It consists of 4 residential towers featuring 401 new apartments of 1, 2, and 3 bedrooms. The towers sit above a 3-storey commercial podium and basement parking, totaling 85,600 sqm above ground and 31,300 sqm of underground construction. The contemporary modern design of angled volumes, wind-through openings and hanging pools mixes with the restored old horizontal facades in an effort to embrace the existing heritage and to combine past and future in the new neighbourhood.
