MegaBox is a landmark shopping, dining and entertainment destination in East Kowloon spread over 19 levels with a total area of 110,000 sqm. Such scale and verticality brings inevitable challenges for visibility and navigation clarity. Paired with pedestrian circulation and shuttle bus operational difficulties, we were called to work on a much needed enhancement strategy.
Our renovation design aims to bring a new fresh look to the concept of a “big box” of diversified offers, and promote significant changes for a smoother operation and better customer satisfaction. It includes the improvement of vertical circulation strategy, the creation of clear drop-off and pick -up zones, strong and comfortable sense of arrival, implementation of effective digital way-finding and signage directories, as well as enhancement of lighting and general ambiance.
