Role

Feasibility, Retail Planning

Parc 66 Jinan is Hang Lung’s flagship commercial complex in Shangdong Province consisting of a 7-storey retail centre of 130,000 sqm facing the city’s main urban square. This major renovation master plan aims at repositioning the retail centre to attract higher-end tenants, improve retail layouts, activate circulation and eliminate weak retail areas.

The master plan integrates East and West buildings by bridging them at every floor and strengthening what once was a poor connection between the two. As a result, two new central entrances are created, leading visitors through a lively central F&B courtyard. The central entrances also direct flows towards East and West main atrium that are now re-dimensioned to better suit their roles and activities within the general plan, with opportunities for flagship luxury tenant spaces gained in the process. The vertical circulation is revised to accommodate fewer escalator and free retail corridors and perspectives, with a few being relocated or replaced with careful consideration for minimum demolition and disruption of operations in the course of the renovation works.
